About audits from the NCCPA
Towards the end of each two-year certification period, you complete an attestation with the NCCPA that you finished 50 credits over the past two years. You won't need to send them certificates, unless you're audited.
The NCCPA has told us that they never audit Category 2 credits, because they're essentially credit for self-study. The Category 1 credit however is audited, and that's where Orbit's easy-to-generate audit reports come in.
How to generate your audit report
Follow these steps to generate your audit report for the 2-year reporting period for which you're being audited.
(A) Go to your submit tab.
(B) Under step 1, Select December 31st going back 2 years.
(C) Under step 2, make sure you've earned at least 50 credits in the past two years.
This is the two year interval dating back from December 31st of your most recent attestation. If your credit count falls short, you can upload more credits to your Earn tab (Post Other CME) that you earned in the corresponding two-year interval.
(D) Under step 3, select the "Audit Report" tab, and click "Generate".
(E) Select "View" to open the audit report in a new tab, or "Create Link" to get the URL of the audit report to email to the administrator.
This is the same URL that appears in the new tab when you click "View", and anyone with the link can review the audit report and download your certificates.
(F) Celebrate!
Administrative drudgery is light and easy when you're working with Orbit. Take the extra time and go enjoy the afternoon.
