About the certificate
The X-ray Supervisor & Operator Certificate* is granted to physicians, physician assistants, podiatrists, and chiropractors, by the California Department of Public Health Radiological Health Branch (RHB).
The certificate allows you to use x-rays in diagnosis and treatment. This includes applications to fluoroscopy, radiography, bone densitometry, and dermatology.
* same as fluoro license, fluoro permit, etc.
CME requirements for renewal
To renew your X-ray Supervisor & Operator Certificate, you are required to earn 10 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ in the application of x-rays to the human body.
If your permit specifically relates to fluoroscopy, then 4 out of the 10 credits should relate to radiation safety for the clinical uses of fluoroscopy.
Choosing the right CME plan
Orbit CME simplifies your renewal by allowing you to earn required credit based on internet searches to articles and abstracts related to x-ray, fluoroscopy, and radiations safety. Get started now by choosing the right plan for you:
